…says HH and his team need deliverance
Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee Paul Moonga has challenged UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema to publicly condemn violence.
MCC Moonga said this today in Lusaka’s Mandevu constituency, when PF Parliamentary Candidate for Luapula constituency Chanda Katotobewe handed over a new vehicle to a youth PF supporter who fell victim to the UPND violent conduct on 10th June, 2021 for supporting the ruling party.
Mr Moonga has since challenged Mr Hichilema to apologize to the people of Mandevu over the violent incident in question if he is a true leader.
“I want to appeal to him, after signing the peace pledge for violent free Campaigns yesterday, to come to Mandevu and apologize to the people of Zambia as a way of beginning his peace campaign and we will forgive him,” Mr Moonga said.
Mr Moonga has therefore called on the Zambian people to forgive HH and his team for the violence committed because they don’t know what they are doing and are in need deliverance.
“They don’t know what they are doing, let’s continue to pray for them,” he said.
He further urged the youth in the PF to avoid violence at all cost and endeavour to be productive.
And PF Mandevu constituency Parliamentary candidate Christopher Shakafuswa has called on the Zambia Police to launch investigations into the matter, adding that the level of violence that occurred on that particular day was too high.
“Shops, barbershops were all looted, road side traders were not spared as their goods were confiscated,” he said.
Meanwhile PF Luapula constituency Parliamentary aspiring candidate Chanda Katotobewe said he saw it fit to hand over a vehicle to the victim of the UPND violence because violence has no room in the politics of Zambia.
“It is a noble responsibility to protect property, life and the peace in the country” Mr Chanda said.
